10/08/2015 I found some 12V 800 lumen rated LED's on Amazon for less then $10 each. They will run off a small sealed 12V battery for hours. So if your mower has a 12V battery for starting I wouldn't worry about the electrical system. I use mine at the race track for general lighting of my paddock area once it gets dark.

09/09/2007 Possible locations include the roll bar, or front caster wheel housing. The roll bar would allow a higher mounting than I think would be the better choice to improve lighting. 20/06/2004 Go with the LED's if you can. They pull way less current and their working life is much longer than strobes or halogen. I bought some of the small LED's and will put them on soon. 18/12/2019 Yes, apparently they introduced this LED light kit around 2018 and made a change to the Harness on the mower to accommodate plug and play. So if your z is older than 2018, you will have to wire an alternate power source. I ended up ordering a nice automotive style water proof harness / connector off of amazon that had an in-line fuse and connected to the battery.
